Two Years

Missing you, Mom.

Fall never lasts long enough. I love fall decorations, I love horror movies, I like pulling out the winter clothes and wearing flannel and I love the changing of the trees around us.

I dislike anniversaries

You were an amazing woman, Mom. All the stuff you went through and that we went through is amazing and it was a hard life at times. You were so strong.

06 09 2011 - this was a hotel in G-d knows where on our trip from California to Georgia.  It was a hard trip and everyone was exhausted after 2 days on the road. It also wasn't uncommon for Mom to fall asleep with her glasses on. This is Mom and Nyx

we weed whacked the rain trough, weed whacked the garden and around the red bud, mowed, placed a paver, hung another shelf in the screened in porch, painted a tire and blew debris into the wooded area and we're done. Three Generations of Women

We did it, Mama.  We finished Marie's quilt and I'm sitting here crying, I miss you both so much. I know we probably didn't do the binding exactly right, I couldn't remember what you showed me. We checked out some quilting books so when we finish the tumbler quilt we'll do better. It feels good that we could finish it for you, Mama, but it also hurts. We decided that we're going to hang my mixed media art piece, the Hebrew alphabet in beadwork pieces on a 3-D plywood board and dowels.  On either side of that we're going to put leftover finished panel pieces.  Your work and mine, Mom. Week 2 of Gym work

We missed Monday because of the hurricane.  Wed. went okay - I pushed more on the bike than I did this last summer and worked to exercise the muscles more on the circut.  I was a little stiff yesterday but not as bad as I feared.  Wed night my hands and forearms hurt really bad so I pulled back a little on the machine that hits those and went a little light on one of the shoulder ones. My muscles pull out of whack so easily, Ma! We took "before photos" - Jackie is dismayed that she's at 160-163lbs.  I was at 160, today it was 156 1/2 - if I can keep it headed downhill....  optimum weight would be 130-135 lbs.  Healthy would be 140 lbs. Not easy but we're more motivated to get up and go, thankfully.  Jackie wasn't up to it Wed but I was going to go without her and she changed her mind and was glad that she did. Wish us well, Mom.  I think this time she really wants to get healthy.  Me too
