Great Day/Horrible Day = same day

Ma; looks like Jackie's situation is going to turn around.  It may take 2-3 months to get official word but her lawyer says its a lock - the vocational rehab person said there's no job to train her for.

That went beyond well.  We had gotten to Atlanta early enough to find the place, get parked and get something to eat.  We found the office and got something to eat and went into the office.  While waiting my stomach went straight to hell.  By the time Jackie went in for the appointment I was nearly doubled over.

The acid has returned to the back of my throat and the stomach is hurting like it did before they put me on the meds.  Gotta check when my followup is scheduled for.

So, the meeting went well and we got a soda and headed out - we weren't up for the mall.  Neither of us have been sleeping well the last week and Jackie hadn't taken meds so she could be totally coherent and uncomfortable instead of having the meds mask the real pain.

We got lost in Atlanta, as usual.  <sigh>  Okay that was slightly stressful (as usual).  We found our way out with that book of maps (a great investment)

Then it began raining and then REALLY raining.  Ever since we nearly went over the side of a mountain you know I've been skittish about rain and snow.  Then it became blinding rain and I couldn't see anything.  I pulled over a couple of times.  It was stressful and I'm afraid the PTSD stuff kicked in big time, especially when we were going through pond-size puddles and almost hydroplaned a couple of times.

We stopped at the little bookstores and got a couple of books and the rain had let up, thankfully.

Okay, not too far from home now......WTF?! Why is the oil warning light coming on?  I press on the gas pedal and it goes off. Truck slows down and it comes back on.  Okay, we checked the levels 2 days before and everything was fine.  Did a lot of whining and felt my stomach turning over and over.

We got home and were hoping the problem was the wiring got wet, which might be a good answer since squirrels nested in the truck for a few months.

So, ultra stress and ultra relief all in the same day.

Today I started the car and no sign of the warning light coming on.  We'll take it out tomorrow and see how the tank handles.  We are seriously considering using public transport to get to the VA though.  I can't take the level of stress the tank puts me through every time we go to Atlanta.

we're at the same frickin point: do we get the Bronco worked on and used most of our savings?  Do we get a used vehicle to get us through until things come through?  Do we just pray the tank will keep going for 3 to 4 months?  argh
