Penny Furstenfeld

Hey Mama;

I realized a week or so ago that Penny hadn't responded to my last letter and sent another.

We got a card today from her daughter-in-law saying Penny passed on July 11.

I don't ever remember meeting Penny but her passing hurts.  I know how much you treasured your pen pal friendship with her and would talk about everything.  After we lost you she helped with cards and letters, always encouraging us and reminding us how much you loved us.  I took over your position as pen-pal with her.

Just kinda sucks like a vacuum when we lose someone.

We are loving and missing you, Mom. 

we're making major progress in the house and you'd really like the garden.  The colors are amazing and I am so pleased and so is Jackie. 

We're getting excited about the concert coming up Saturday night.

Alice Cooper and Motley Crue!!!!

Of course I and others believe Crue should be opening for Alice but we'll take it.  I can't wait.  He has a new lead female guitarist and I've saved money and set it aside.

Now to get over an ear infection. I CANNOT be sick Saturday night!

Becoming Mom - part whatever

Okay, instead of hand sewing something as I normally would, I used the machine. The design works, the stuff for the project doesn't.  We need bigger pipe insulation. We're making drafty door blockers and the insulation is too small since we ripped out the carpets. So, first foray into sewing with a machine in a long time went well but the project is stalled until tomorrow or Friday.
