Westminster Dog Show

First year without you and without the dog show itself.  We still haven't found Jackie's antenna so we can watch the free channels on tv since we shut off DISH.

Becoming Mom - part whatever

Okay, instead of hand sewing something as I normally would, I used the machine. The design works, the stuff for the project doesn't.  We need bigger pipe insulation. We're making drafty door blockers and the insulation is too small since we ripped out the carpets. So, first foray into sewing with a machine in a long time went well but the project is stalled until tomorrow or Friday.

Hey Mom; The stomach is still a big problem. I'm pretty tired of feeling tired and having everything including water hurt my stomach. I'm working on keeping up with the vitamins and trying to eat. I finished the first bluebird panel, the inlay beaded cross and my Aleph-Bet art piece.  I need to attach hanging gizmos to the art piece and cover the back with felt.  I'm rather pleased with it.  Its hard to see the 3-D effect in the picture. Also working on the beaded cat and I'll start more embroidery stuff tomorrow and work on some wood burned signs and wristbands. Wish you were here to see them, Mom.

From Miss Ellen

Kathy & I first met when she came to my front door telling me not the believe what her Mother had told me.  She ranted on for awhile & when I told her that Mrs. Carr had not told me anything, she stopped her pacing & said "OH".  We talked & got to know each other.  She liked turtles & I collect blue glass.  She loved to quilt, I loved embroidery, etc.  We became great friends.  We went to quilt shows & the Scotish Ceremonies.  I wanted to paint my living room but was not sure I could do it.  Kathy said I could do anything I wanted to do & I believed her & I have lived my life that way.  Kathy was a generous friend.  There with help when you needed something.  Though she moved far away, we were still close.  To say I will miss her can not possibly explain the way I feel. Ellen (note: must have been a heck of an argument w/Grandma that week! The Carr women could be....passionate)
