Happy Birthday Mom

Depressed today but we expected that.  We've been told the first year is the hardest.

Missing you, Mom.

It also doesn't help that I got really sick today. Sick enough to go back to bed after some work on the porch and I slept for over 2 hours.  I haven't done that in years.

My speciality. I found this recipe in an unusual book in my senior year in highschool and we gave it a try. Becoming Mom - part whatever

Okay, instead of hand sewing something as I normally would, I used the machine. The design works, the stuff for the project doesn't.  We need bigger pipe insulation. We're making drafty door blockers and the insulation is too small since we ripped out the carpets. So, first foray into sewing with a machine in a long time went well but the project is stalled until tomorrow or Friday.
