Cold and Colds

Well, Jackie had a cold and decided to give it to me, Ma.  I spent a couple of miserable days with it.  She seems to be on the mend, I'm still down for the count.  She was great today, she made me chicken broth with matzah on the side, cooked and did dishes without any fussing.

It was so cold that there were snow flurries at Stone Mountain - not only on top of the mountain but in the parking lot, in Alpharetta and even in Atlanta.  I spotted some tiny snowflakes that melted before they hit the ground.

And it's supposed to be almost 70F by Sunday.

Becoming Mom - part whatever

Okay, instead of hand sewing something as I normally would, I used the machine. The design works, the stuff for the project doesn't.  We need bigger pipe insulation. We're making drafty door blockers and the insulation is too small since we ripped out the carpets. So, first foray into sewing with a machine in a long time went well but the project is stalled until tomorrow or Friday.
