Corned Beef, Veggies and Beer - Rating = F

I don't know what beer the author of the recipe and those reviewing so high were using, probably weak American beer.  I used a decent pale ale.

The entire thing was unedible.  The veggies absorbed way too much of the beer taste and the meat had no flavor other than the beer.  Ketchup and mustard didn't help either.

Becoming Mom - part whatever

Okay, instead of hand sewing something as I normally would, I used the machine. The design works, the stuff for the project doesn't.  We need bigger pipe insulation. We're making drafty door blockers and the insulation is too small since we ripped out the carpets. So, first foray into sewing with a machine in a long time went well but the project is stalled until tomorrow or Friday.
