Hey Ma, we'd been thinking about Susie lately and she called tonight. She's missing you a lot and wanted to check up on us.  I ended up talking to her for 30 minutes. That must be a record for me!

We got out for a bit today - the sunshine felt good. Now if this stupid cold would leave me alone....

we weed whacked the rain trough, weed whacked the garden and around the red bud, mowed, placed a paver, hung another shelf in the screened in porch, painted a tire and blew debris into the wooded area and we're done. So much more to do on a brighter note: CATS! our grand old man Deacon stretched out in a planter and I wonder why things won't grow! Crete Myrtle, Marigolds and unknown flowers

Hey, Mama; We received the crete myrtle that Lynn and Jerry ordered for you, in the color you always loved.  Jackie and I planted it today along with the marigolds I bought for you and some pretty flowers to go along with those. We used the good soil we bought at Home Depot and got some mulch too.  You've got your dogwoods and crete myrtle, Mama, just like you wanted in a home of your own.  I'm sorry we didn't get the crete myrtle last year.  We thought we had time. Pretty normal thought, isn't it? Love you, Mama.  We miss you.
