Check out the menorah that Ralph and Vivian sent me. Her mother had gotten it at a yard sale decades ago and they thought of me. Yay! They loved the fleece blankets I did for them and it was quite a surprise.
Okay, instead of hand sewing something as I normally would, I used the machine. The design works, the stuff for the project doesn't. We need bigger pipe insulation. We're making drafty door blockers and the insulation is too small since we ripped out the carpets. So, first foray into sewing with a machine in a long time went well but the project is stalled until tomorrow or Friday.
We started putting together the shelves for the tubs of material. We've a two car garage and basement but having the material in the garage didn't work out. I asked Jackie if we even want to keep it, the feeling right now is yes. I have an idea - I'm good at hand sewing and piecework but lousy at quilting - maybe just doing quilt tops for sale. We'll see how it goes. I'm still going to give another try at the quilting, Ma. These cinder blocks are HEAVY. It was really hard for Jackie and I to get them in the house - 8 of them and I need 4 more <sigh> The room is beginning to feel more like progress towards a craft/guest room. Having to baby my back AND my neck/shoulders is very frustrating! And then came news from Mama P, you know, my Jewish friend in Arkansas. She's been feeling horrible and thinking it was because of being taken off one medicine for an upcoming knee surgery. Her husband took her to the ER tonight and they've admitted her. ...
we weed whacked the rain trough, weed whacked the garden and around the red bud, mowed, placed a paver, hung another shelf in the screened in porch, painted a tire and blew debris into the wooded area and we're done. So much more to do on a brighter note: CATS! our grand old man Deacon stretched out in a planter and I wonder why things won't grow! Our poly-toed kitty, Gypsy Alyssa - one of the twins another of Deacon Evie, voicing a protest abut me taking a photo Your beautiful Nikki, Ma - better known as Fuzzbot
