Day of Rest

Mama; one of these days I'm going to get the actual day of Shabbat down as a day of rest! Today ended up as a restful day instead. I think I'm just at the end of the rope.  I have got to figure out how to get to sleep earlier than the wee hours of the morning.

Got something you'll really love, Ma - a quilt pattern that I am hunting down. Seven Sisters from the late 1800s.  It's a set of seven Magen Davids/Star of David! How awesome is that?  Of course it makes sense, its a geometric pattern, after all.  I'm intrigued!

My speciality. I found this recipe in an unusual book in my senior year in highschool and we gave it a try. Becoming Mom - part whatever

Okay, instead of hand sewing something as I normally would, I used the machine. The design works, the stuff for the project doesn't.  We need bigger pipe insulation. We're making drafty door blockers and the insulation is too small since we ripped out the carpets. So, first foray into sewing with a machine in a long time went well but the project is stalled until tomorrow or Friday.
