Safe

Well, that was a nerve wracking few hours today!  Woke up under tornado warning that expanded into a tornado alert.  A county above us a tornado did hit and there's one dead and several injuries, some critical. We had some heavy rain and winds but no damage.  Now we keep alert for falling trees from the saturated ground.

We are safe.

We have a basement that has no windows and is cinderblock.  It opens into the two car garage but there is a cinderblock wall between the two rooms.  We have water, food, meds, etc etc etc set aside for Just-in-case.

When you see the news, don't panic. So far we're okay.

Becoming Mom - part whatever

Okay, instead of hand sewing something as I normally would, I used the machine. The design works, the stuff for the project doesn't.  We need bigger pipe insulation. We're making drafty door blockers and the insulation is too small since we ripped out the carpets. So, first foray into sewing with a machine in a long time went well but the project is stalled until tomorrow or Friday.
