Bugs Hiding in Plain Sight

Me: "Hey, check out the camouflage VW!" 
Mom: "Where?"
Me: "Hey, it worked!"

I thought she was going to hit me as Jackie and I both cracked up.  This was in the mid 1980s before many civilians were painting their vehicles camouflage.

That became an inside family joke.

Becoming Mom - part whatever

Okay, instead of hand sewing something as I normally would, I used the machine. The design works, the stuff for the project doesn't.  We need bigger pipe insulation. We're making drafty door blockers and the insulation is too small since we ripped out the carpets. So, first foray into sewing with a machine in a long time went well but the project is stalled until tomorrow or Friday.
