Time

We think we figured it out. Mom did think she had a little more time. The doctor said she had probably a month, maybe two if she didn't have the chemo. We don't believe she knew she had days.  The speed surprised all of us, including her. We had a good visit with Chris but also a little difficult. There isn't a whole lot to do in our town in the winter after the holiday season.  We went to Stone Mountain yesterday and that was okay. Some of the things we wanted to see were closed. We're not sure when we'll see Chris again and we are extremely grateful he came up. He graduates from IT school in the Navy tomorrow and we're beyond proud of him.

Had to play this one today.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=meJP410N9Gg I received my assessment from the VA - it's very possible I am on the autism spectrum but would need more specialized assessment outside of the VA which costs quite a bit.  I'm good with where it stands.  I know I have a lot of quirks, traits or whatever you want to call them outside of the PTSD and social anxiety. Overall assessment: depression (of course), PTSD that isn't in acute stage, alcoholism that's in remission (for decades now) and social anxiety disorder which is probably where my psych and I will work on - the flare up of the depression and the social anxiety.  Fun times. Positive stuff: things are blooming and the grass is quickly growing. We've had a lot of rain lately and they say another 5 days at least.  The weather is also turning warm.  As much as I hate the heat I'm glad for spring.  People are stepping up to help each other in the virus crisis. Mouse - RIP

We lost Mouse yesterday morning, Mom.  You would have really liked the little fur ball.  She wasn't growing as fast as I thought she should and I don't think her lungs were up to speed and a runny nose ended up in URI within hours before we could get her to a vet.  It could be she was rejected by the mama cat, we don't know.  We do know that she was loved and knew it.  She knew our voices, touch, scents and wanted to snuggle with us for comfort. Hurts. The depression about the hands/arms is pretty high or low or however you want to look at it.  I'm working on rearranging and cleaning Nick's room/office/guest room so I can work back there with voice recognition and learn how to vocalize my thoughts and especially my fiction writing.  I was taught at a very early age not to verbalize, especially dealing with pain, anger, helplessness, etc. Now I'm in pain not only from the back but also the forearms and hands and I can't write.  My way of crea...
