She thought Meat Loaf was a cuddly teddy bear

She adored Janis Joplin's whiskey voice and reluctantly agreed that Melissa Etheridge would have made a fantastic Janis in a bio movie.

Mom would nearly cry when she heard The Who's "See Me, Feel Me" from Tommy

(I took Mom to see Roger Daltrey perform "Tommy" last year - the same lineup as in this video, she had tears when she saw him do this one. Simon Townsend on lead guitar, Pete's brother)
Mom tolerated me cranking the volume of the radio in the car whenever an Alice Cooper song would come on or The Who's "Behind Blue Eyes"

Alice!!!!
That year, 1976 or 1977, we were watching an episode of ABC Mystery whatever - where they would have an episode of McMillan and Wife, McCloud or Columbo or the Snoop Sisters. We were watching the Snoop Sisters because of my fascination with horror movies and Vincent Price and Roddy McDowall were on that night. So was a hot rocker named Alice Cooper. We saw the clip of Alice and Mom turned and looked at me and said: "You LIKE this stuff?"
I think I wanted to crawl under the sofa

In 1978 I watched the Muppets and became a hardcore Alice fan (I was already a fan, the increased it a notch)

She never cared for the Rolling Stones. She was more into CCR and Elvis.
Our Mom loved the Charlie Brown theme - it made her smile and would bring her up like nothing else would, even when she was in the hospital.
Mom loved two lines from the movie "Commando" with Arnold - "What did you do with Scully?"
Arnold: "I let him go." (right off the edge of a cliff) - it made Mom giggle.
